Twitter Craze is on!! actually, matagal na..

Now lang ako nagblog about this. What is twitter? Almost the same as Facebook, minus the applications, games, quizzes, etc. In twitter, you have to answer one question, and that is: “What are you doing?“. Yes, more on updating your status. Mini-Blog. The fun thing about it is that you can react on other people’s tweet updates (there goes the interaction part).

And there’s also this Following-Followers thing. The tweet updates of the people you follow will appear on your homepage, and your own followers will be able to read your latest tweet updates.

It’s so addicting.  More addicting than facebook, I guess.  All of the people are so into it.  Even the famous celebs out there. And yes, they’re into twitter na rin!

Who are the celebs that I’m following?  Bukod pa sa mga Radio Jocks ng RX 93.1, I’m also following Jason Mraz, Kris Allen, Allison Iraheta, Lea Salonga, and Pia Guanio 😛  Yung iba kasi masyadong masipag magtweet (like ashton kutcher).. mapupuno yung tweet updates sa homepage ko.

I enjoyed their performance this week. Rat pack theme.

I won’t post any comments right now.. I’ll just rank them based on how I like their performance.

1. Kris – I’m really hoping he’ll win this season. I still dont understand why he landed in bottom 3.. but at least not in bottom 2 🙂

Not Good Enough to save Alexis Grace

Alexis Grace was revealed to be the third finalist eliminated from American Idol’s eighth season during last night’s live results show broadcast on Fox.

Grace, a 21-year-old from Memphis, TN, was sent home from Idol’s eighth season based on the 31 million home viewer votes cast immediately following Tuesday night’s live performance episode broadcast that saw the Top 11 finalists perform country songs in a tribute to the Grand Ole Opry.

The newly introduced “The Judges’ Save” rule twist also provided its first drama of the season when, following American Idol host Ryan Seacrest‘s announcement that Iraheta had not been eliminated from the competition, Simon Cowell admitted that he and the show’s other judges — Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi — were considering using the save to prevent the elimination of one of the two remaining bottom three finalists.

After Grace was revealed to be the low vote-getter, Cowell revealed that she was the one the judges had been considering saving.

“So it’s all gonna come down to this performance now,” Cowell told Grace.

However, following Grace’s second rendition of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” during which the judges huddled to discuss whether or not to save her, Cowell told Grace that they’d decided her encore performance hadn’t been good enough to merit the utilization of “The Judges’ Save,” which the judges can only use once during American Idol’s eighth season.

“We’re kinda unanimous on this. It was good, but it wasn’t good enough, sorry,” Cowell said. “It’s the end of the line for you.”

“You have an amazing life and career ahead of you my dear. Everything’s gonna change for you,” added Abdul.

“Thank you for the opportunity,” Grace responded.

I’m sad about this result.. I prefer Michael Sarver more to be eliminated.  Alexis Grace still has a lot to offer.  But that’s how the show goes.. eventually it will all come down to two finalists.. oh well.

American Idol 08 – First week – top 13

Lil Rounds – The Way you make me feel
– I really enjoyed her performance.. Love her so much! I can hear and see a lil of Fantasia in her, but she still has that uniqueness.. Her voice is still different from Fantasia.

Scott MaCyntire – Keep the faith
– His performance, for me, is very forgettable.. I don’t even remember right at this moment how he sang it.  It was so safe, not so polished, not the best vocal on this season.

Danny Gokey – PYT
– I know his vocal is really different/unique. But I still don’t like it. Not my thing I guess. But if I’ll choose between  him and Adam Lambert, I’ll opt to Danny.

Michael Sarver – You are not alone
– He can really sing.. hmm, but I still need to see him doing other genra of song. Maybe another week for him

Jasmine Murray – I’ll be there
– The fact that this song is a Michael Jackson song, AND the fact that Mariah Carey sang it already, it is sooo big! But I think she did good, but not really well compared with the other contestants. 😦

Kris Allen – Remember the time
– He definitely sounds and looks good with his guitar. Tulad ng sabi ni Acer, way better than Michael Castro but definitely not that good enough as Jason Mraz!! 😛 Naawa lang ako sa wife nya 😦

Allison Iraheta – Give in to me
– Rock on!! Love the angst!! Definitely another week for her

Anoop Desai – Beat It
– Err.. why?! Do you want me to beat you with that?! Sana ibang song nalang kinanta nya.. sumabit pa sya sa kanta nya.. tsk tsk.. and what a dull ending 😦

Jorge Nunez – Never can say goodbye
– very cheesy.. really don’t like him from the start.. oh please!

Megan Joy Corkrey – Rockin Robin
– I really like her too.. very very unique voice! Like she owns all the songs that she sings.. pagbigyan na ang awful dance steps.. hopefully mawala na yun sa mga susunod na next week.

Adam Lambert – Black or White
– I still hate the shouting part.. yeah he did stand out this week. But I still dont like him.. still over the top performance.. at sobrang OA ni Paula.. amfufu. Hindi lang sya ang comfortable sa stage no.. adik talaga si Paula haha

Matt Girraud – Human Nature
– I kinda like it, pero medyo hindi rin.. ok lang.. But he is definitely good, full of soul and blues..

Alexis Grace – Dirty Diana
– It was a good performance, but not enough to blow me away.. I like to see her other side.. maybe a mellow/ballad song.

When the top 36 was announced in AI8, we (the AI fans in rxmorningrush.com) made our predictions on who will succeed on entering the top12.. so here’s my list before:

So ayun, last week, dineclare na ang top 13!! Yes, not 12 but 13!! And with my predictions, I got 8/12. not bad 🙂
